NHL Playoffs

All 32 teams want the legendary Stanley Cup, only one will get the glory of earning the oldest sports trophy in North America – weighing in at over 34 pounds of history!  Will it be the Boston Bruins? Toronto Maple Leafs, the Carolina Hurricanes? Find out when playoff action starts on April 17th, streaming on Hulu +Live TV.

MLB

Opening day was March 30th, so that means Major League Baseball is fully in play in April – with Friday night baseball starting April 7th! Will the new “pitch clock” change the play? Will the bigger bases (up three inches in size) result in higher scores, if not more Umpire dusting? There’s only one way to find out – catch MLB Streaming on YouTube TV.

The Masters

Welcome to the 87th edition of this fabled tournament from Augusta National in Georgia. Pros like Jason Day, Cameron Young, Rory Mcllroy and defending champ Scottie Scheffler will be hitting the green April 6th through the 9th. The winner gets the coveted Green Jacket which only costs $250 to make but its resale value is a bit higher… in 2013 two-time Masters Champ Horton Smith’s jacket sold for over $650,000, making it one jacket you don’t want to spill mayo on! Wardrobe aside, last year’s winner, Rory Mcllroy took home $2.7M and this year’s prize bucket could be even higher.  You can catch every swing on ESPN+, Hulu + Live TV.

NFL

Wrap up the month with the official NFL Draft.  Experience all the excitement and drama from Kansas City’s historic Union Station as America’s top college players see if their gridiron dreams will come true.  Only 319 players are invited – names like Ohio State’s Paris Johnson Jr, Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski, Tennessee’s Darnell Wright and more will be on hand to see if they get one of the coveted 259 positions.  The nail-biting and heartbreak starts streaming live on YouTube TV April 27th.

Hey, In Case You Missed It…

NCAA

Out of 68 teams, it came down to UConn, Florida Atlantic, San Diego State and Miami in the Final Four. Did you see how UConn – unranked in preseason – fought their way to the Championship for the fifth time in 25 seasons? It was an epic game against San Diego State with the Huskies whomping the Aztecs 76-59!  March Madness is over… until next year but your TiVo device connects you to all the regular season hoops hoopla!

WrestleMania

April started with a body slam when the iconic annual contest ripped into SoFi Stadium in California on April 1st and 2nd.  Brock Lesnar hammered Osmos, Bianca Belair defeated Asuka to retain the WWE RAW Woman’s Title , Edge flipped Fin Baylor in their Hell in a Cell match… but the real stunner was WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ crushing defeat of Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes.  Ouch! Hope you caught all the trash talk and takedowns on Peacock but if you didn’t WrestleMania 40 is just a year away…

With TiVo, you’ve already made the cut for all your favorite teams!  We understand that you might not want to leave your house at all this month!  (Except maybe to get more snacks.) All of us hope you enjoy all of April’s sports and we’ll be back here in May!
