TiVo Broadband was originally introduced at CES 2024 and we recently shared more exciting news at the NCTC Winter Educational Conference in Las Vegas. We’re thrilled to announce our first customers, including Buckeye Broadband, Blue Ridge Communications, BluePeak and Blue Stream Fiber, who are now providing their subscribers with an upgraded viewing experience through TiVo Broadband.

What is TiVo Broadband?

TiVo Broadband is an enhanced video streaming experience for customers who don’t usually subscribe to a video service from their local cable or telecommunications company. Through TiVo Broadband, customers can access TiVo+, a free content network with over 160 channels and more than 100,000 free movies and TV shows including local, live television, free ad-supported television (or FAST) channels like those offered by Pluto TV, Tubi and Freevee, plus full access to all the apps on the Google Play store including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu (SVOD only), Disney+, Max, Peacock, Paramount+, AppleTV+, and Discovery+.

According to TiVo’s Q4 2023 Video Trends Report, 27.1% of the total pay TV population surveyed reported cutting the cord and then later resubscribing. The reasons that cord revivers resubscribe to pay TV has remained largely consistent since 2021, with about 34% reporting that they couldn’t get all the entertainment they wanted without pay TV.
