The Japanese animation studio, Bandai Namco Filmworks, recently turned to TiVo’s Personalized Content Discovery (PCD) for optimizing the content discovery experience with their OTT service, Bandai Channel.
Bandai Channel needed a comprehensive solution for the primary challenges they faced when promoting the channel’s 5,000+ anime series to audiences, including:
- Inconsistent UX across devices
- Inability to personalize/promote content
- Declining subscriptions
- Lack of visibility into how the UI was performing
- Decreasing ARPU
TiVo helped Bandai find success with a variety of improvements, including: user experience and elevated subscriber engagement and retention – resulting in a 50 percent reduction in end user churn.
