TiVo Honored at Content Innovation Awards in Cannes
Congratulations to our innovators in voice discovery! TiVo’s Conversation Services won the UX Award at the Content Innovation Awards, held by Digital TV Europe and Television Business International on Sunday, October 15 in the Carlton InterContinental Hotel.
With Conversation, viewers find entertainment fast by using free-flowing conversational dialogue to search live TV and VOD. The services are powered by natural-language understanding technology and our Knowledge Graph Engine, making search results and recommendations highly relevant.
Clemency Burton-Hill, a leading British broadcaster and an acclaimed journalist and novelist, announced TiVo as the winner. The award was accepted by Charles Dawes, senior director, international marketing; Christian Klaes, sales manager; Adam Owen, sales director; Piotr Smaga, sales director; and Samuel Sweet, senior vice president, sales – EMEA.
“It was an honor to be able to accept the award on behalf of TiVo,” Dawes said. “Many people have worked long hours to make this happen from the original team through to the latest work on deployments like Sky Q and integration into our own products. This is an amazing achievement!”
The Carlton is famous for hosting the international Cannes Film Festival, celebrating innovation in film for decades – an inspiring location to honor global innovators in digital content.
