New Fall Shows!

 In Entertainment, Television

Each September we look forward to tuning back into new episodes of our favorite shows, as well as checking out some of the new shows that are premiering for the first time. With your TiVo Roamio, you can record 6 shows at once and have more recording space, so why not add a few more to the roster? In this post, we will share with you a few of the shows that we can’t wait to check out!

About a Boy – NBC

NBC has picked up a TV remake of the popular 2002 movie “About a Boy.” The show, like the movie, focuses on the life of an immature, middle-age bachelor named Will. In the midst of his relationship with a single mom, Will accidentally lies about having a son of his own. When he goes looking to find a boy to pretend to be his son, Will befriends the awkward, young boy next door, Marcus. This comedy follows the quirky friendship these two characters develop as they fake a father and son relationship.

Hostages – CBS

Dr. Ellen Sanders, one of the nation’s best surgeons, receives the honor of performing an operation on the President of the United States. The night before the procedure FBI agent, Duncan Carlisle, takes Sanders and her family hostage and tells Sanders to kill the President. Sanders will have to decide between saving her family or the life of the President. Throughout the show we learn secrets about the Sanders family and the motivations behind Carlisle’s demand.

Betrayal – ABC

A photographer named Sara starts to feel anxious about her marriage to a well-known and successful prosecutor. When she stumbles across unexpected feelings for a handsome stranger named Jack, the two begin an emotional affair that grows physical. As Sara begins to get closer to Jack she learns that Jack is an attorney for a crime boss who happens to be the suspect in an investigation headed by Sara’s husband. Sara will struggle to keep the secrets she learns about the investigation as she continues her relationship with both men.

Give these shows a try, and if they’re a hit in your household, be sure to set your season passes to record all of the new episodes!
