TiVo payment plans and policies

TiVo offers the following types of payment plans:

 

TiVo Package Payment Plan: A Package plan includes both a TiVo DVR and the award-winning TiVo service. Package plans can only be purchased through TiVo Direct or through select special promotions. To see our current DVR and service offerings, visit http://www.tivo.com/buy.

 

TiVo Service Only Plan: Service Only plans are available to customers who purchase TiVo DVRs from retail websites or stores. To see our current Service Only plan offerings, visit https://www3.tivo.com/store/plans.do.

 

Multi-Service Discount: If you have multiple active TiVo payment plans, one or more of your payment plans may be eligible for the Multi-Service Discount. To learn more, click here.

All TiVo Package Plans and Service Only Plans require a TiVo Service commitment.

 

 

The TiVo Service Commitments

 

For new activations, TiVo provides a 30-day Money Back Guarantee. This means that if you cancel your service plan within 30 days of activation, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel a TiVo Package plan, you must return the DVR within 15 days of cancellation, or you may be subject to the Non-Returned Equipment Fee.

NOTE: The 30-day Money Back Guarantee does not apply if you upgrade your DVR on an existing payment plan.

 

After 30 days, an Early Termination Fee will be charged for monthly plans if service is cancelled before the end of the commitment period. If you cancel a prepaid plan, you will not be charged an Early Termination Fee, but you will not receive a refund of any remaining balance.

When a contract reaches the end of its service commitment, it is automatically rolled over to month-to-month or annual billing, depending on the original contract.

 

If you have a monthly plan: The contract will roll over to a month-to-month plan and continue to be charged either at the same rate or the current monthly rate advertised on tivo.com/buy, whichever is lower.

 

If you have a prepaid plan: The contract will enter a new annual commitment and be charged at the current rate advertised on tivo.com/buy .

 

NOTE: If you activated a payment plan prior to 5/15/08, your plan will roll over to a month-to-month billing plan at the end of your commitment, regardless of original plan type.

 

Product Lifetime Service: This service plan lasts for the life of the DVR and will never roll over to another plan.

Good news! When a service plan reaches the end of its commitment, the contract may become eligible for the Multi-Service Discount. The Multi-Service Discount is automatically applied to all eligible contracts. To learn more, click here .
