TiVo Appoints Clent Richardson as Chief Marketing Officer
Former CMO of T-Mobile and Nortel Assumes Key Position
ALVISO, Calif., July 17, 2007-TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO), the creator of and a leader in television services for digital video recorders (DVRs), announced today it has appointed Clent Richardson as Chief Marketing Officer.
Reporting directly to TiVo President and CEO Tom Rogers, Richardson is an accomplished leader who has directed campaigns that transformed high profile consumer and technology brands in North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Richardson has a particularly strong background at the intersection where hardware and subscription services come together.
Prior to joining TiVo, Richardson served as Chief Marketing Officer of Nortel, where he led the company's transformative, worldwide re-branding. Prior to that, he was Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for T-Mobile U.K.. Richardson was also Vice President, Worldwide Developer Relations and Worldwide Solutions Marketing for Apple, reporting directly to the co-founder and CEO, as well as a strategy consultant for AOL.
