Is There a Doctor in the House?
There are few things more annoying than getting sick. That’s why this year I got my flu shot early, washed my hands like crazy, and mastered the art of the smile and nod when meeting new people. Just when I thought I was in the clear, I started to feel symptoms that something wasn’t right. After some internet sleuthing (and self-reflection), I realized I don’t have a cold or the flu…I have Bieber Fever.
Bieber Fever has been around for years, but I thought I was immune. Plus, I’ve made a conscious effort to stay away from hot zones like slumber parties, middle school dances, and Top 20 Countdowns. It turns out my diligence was all for naught, because I caught Bieber Fever from the last place I expected: Comedy Central promos for the Roast of Justin Bieber. It took me a while to notice, but like a flu virus, Justin Bieber has mutated into something I don’t have a resistance to…a handsome young man. Now I find myself liking one of his songs and I fear all may be lost. My doctor told me to listen to two Aerosmith albums and call him in the morning, but he completed his residency under Dr. Doogie Howser, so I’m a little skeptical about his abilities as a medical professional.
The Roast of Justin Bieber airs tonight at 10/9c on Comedy Central. Whether you love him or hate him, it will definitely be worth watching. Also, if you’re a fellow sufferer of Bieber Fever, be sure to check out our “Seeing is Beliebing” collection. From TiVo Central, select “Find TV, Movies, & Videos” then “Browse TV & Movies.” Under “New & Notable,” select the “Seeing is Beliebing” collection.
