Dhani Tackles the Globe premieres tonight. NFL linebacker Dhani Jones discovers that sports can open a window into any culture as he travels the globe to participate in beloved national pastimes of cultures around the world. In tonight’s season premiere, he’s bike racing in Italy.

30 for 30:  As part of its 30th anniversary celebration, ESPN looks back at notable sports happenings that occurred from 1979 to 2009 with this documentary series featuring 30 films from some of Hollywood’s finest directors and producers. This week’s documentary, “Silly Little Game,” examines the history of fantasy sports from their little-known origins to a $4 billion industry with more than 30 million participants.

Parenthood: In an updated reimagining of the 1989 film by the same name, four grown siblings — Adam, Sarah, Crosby and Julia — share the experiences of parenthood in their California hometown. As their parents deal with life and marital issues, the four lean on one another while tackling the challenges of modern family life. In this week’s new episode, Amber’s ex-boyfriend, Damien (guest star Eddy Rioseco), arrives from Fresno, putting the family on high alert. Zeek takes Adam on a road trip for father-son bonding and a little investment advice. Julia and Joel fear that Sydney may have Asperger’s.

American Idol: This week is the third Idol Gives Back event. This two-hour special features performances and appearances by Hollywood’s biggest stars, raising money for charities including the Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children’s U.S. programs and the United Nations Foundation.

Season Finales! A few of this week’s season finales include Accidentally on Purpose, Project Runway and Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.
